Is the hydration bladder leak-proof and durable?

Can I put beverage in the bladder?
We do not suggest putting any carbonated beverages such as coke, soda, beer etc. It may leak due to the pressure.In addition, it is not recommended to pack any hot drinks, like chocolate or coffee. Heat can cause damage to the bladder.
How to get rid of the plastic taste?
There are several ways-1.Baking soda: Mix with warm water. Soak for 2-4h. Empty, rinse, dry it.2.Vinegar: Mix with warm water(50:50). Shake the solution around the bladder. Soak, empty, dry it.3.1/4 cups of lemon juice: Soak, empty, dry it.

Bought this for our hiking trip and worked great for me! It’s not too small but not too big and bulky at all. The water pack worked really well too and didn’t leak at all. We hiked for 5 hours and it never felt uncomfortable. I was able to pack several snacks, a couple of extra articles of clothing and even an extra water bottle on the outside pocket. Highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a quality hiking backpack without spending a fortune.
